Some parents may choose to continue their childs lessons on a weekly or fortnightly basis for this look at transitional lessons. Although your child will not forget this skill practicing on a regular basis will keep the child confident in the water.  If you as a parent is willing to practice this skill with your child you will not need to do transitional lessons.

As Mentioned a child does not forget these skills but they may need to refine these skills if they have not been in the water for a long period of time.  This is where a child would do refresher lessons.  These take approximately 2-4 weeks.
