Private 1 on 1 survival and learn to swim lessons

No parent’s in the water

At Kids Aquatic Survival School Parent’s Stay Dry!

We don’t allow parent’s in the water whilst the child is learning the survival and learn to swim program because it may hinder the child’s progress.

Parent’s may be unaware they can act as a floatation device for their child giving the child a false sense of security in the water. The parent may unintentionally encourage bad habits and delay the learning process.

At KASS, your child’s safety is our main priority. All KASS lessons are delivered privately one on one by specialised instructors who are skilled above and beyond industry standards.

Once the child is fully competent and completed the KASS survival and learn to swim program, we invite parent/s into the water and skill them on how to best retain the child’s newly learnt survival skills. Yes that’s right! We skill both the child and parent/s with the knowledge and hands on training on how to keep practising these specialised aquatic survival skills with their child. Like most motor skills children learn; crawling, walking, running or riding a bike – regular practice is crucial so we want the parent/s to continue to practise these skills outside of lessons.

Giving your child the skills to survive a fall in water is the one of the most important skills in life. Barriers and supervision do FAIL, despite our best efforts. Survival skills are the LAST layer of protection should the unthinkable happen.
